About B.Sc Nursing

The B.Sc Nursing degree program is a four-year fulltime program, which prepares B.Sc.Nursing graduates qualified to practice nursing and midwifery in a variety of settings in either public/government or privatehealthcare settings. The revised curriculum adopts semester and credit systems.

Course Objective

• Prepare students to deal with various aspects of nursing with utmost professionalism and care.
• Train students to think critically and clearly while also being compassionate, disciplined, and assertive, in order to meet the diverse needs of the medical profession, the healthcare delivery system, and society.
• Produce professionals who can make independent decisions in a variety of situations, all within the scope of the field.
• Train students to respect the patients’ rights.
• Motivate students to take up research initiatives in nursing as well as apply an evidence-based form of practice.

Course Duration

4 years(8 Semesters)

Eligibility

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 Years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
2. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35.
3. Candidate with Science who has passed the qualifying 12^th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
4. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School(NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.
5. Candidate shall be medically fit.
6. Students shall be admitted once in a year.
7. Admission will be based on the Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, UP.
