Sherwood Academy
True education, is not only dependent upon years of formal teaching. We will be only partially educated, unless we have acquired a sense of human dignity, the ability to gracefully give and receive self respect and respect for others. The work of education is one that demands constant dedication, a profession a vocation, a mission.
Sherwood Academy has constantly been striving to make lessions, project activities and programmes exciting, Provoking, Challenging and demanding constantly urging the students to higher ambition creating in them a desire for learning and heart, mind and spirit in helping the students to develop a respectable and positive self-image as a product of this industry.
I would like to place on record our sincere thanks to all the teachers and staff for providing such an excellent second home for our students and developing in them that all round personality which has prepared them so very well for their lives ahead.
"True education says", Ruskin "is not teaching people to know what they do not know but to behaves as they do not behave". This points to a very vital part of our education at Sharewood i.e. discipline. The very texture of our Indian Spirituality, an awe of peace, quiet and serenity - The silencing of inner self.
